**HACKNEY NEW MEDIA NETWORKING AFTERNOON**

Do you live or work in Hackney?
Do you work with new media, web, creative technology, computers,
electronics or related fields?
Be inspired by your neighbours in the borough!
[ space.media.arts ] in partnership with Hackney Council invite you to a
networking session for a diverse range of creative practitioners,
including artists, community media groups, SMEs and larger companies,
working in new and creative media in Hackney. Promote yourself and what
you do, find out what others are working on and develop links between
your projects and organisations.
You are invited to:
- Watch a series of short, dynamic presentations forming an overview of
creative and new media activity in Hackney, with confirmed speakers
including Shoreditch Digital Bridge, Soda Creative, artists The People
Speak and Melissa Bliss, Lateral and more. (A limited number of
presentations slots are left -- contact us if you would like to present
your work)
- Bring printed materials and laptops (WIFI provided) to informally
show-and-tell between sessions.
- Enjoy drinks and light refreshments, with time to network with other
creative attendees.
This event will launch a New Media Cluster in Hackney, with a
facilitated discussion inviting participants to have a stake in the
development of the cluster and its seed funding.
