hi o. and k.,

i like your work very much.

i've been thinking about sex last months...

... sex as the subject of art work.

i've been thinking, first of all, about sade the divine.

maybe you can help me telling why do you choose sex as a subject in your art works...

here are my thoughts, i will try to share it in order to see if you and all netB people can share their thoughts about it, if they feel like it...

people's most famous obsession is sex.

but there are lots !

the will to be rich, -envy, ambition, desire of power... believing it could be independence and freedom...-, the will to be good looking and young looking.... there is people who have a hidden obsession with fire or water...

i'm more interested, for example, with people obsessed by fire than with sex... and following that way, i imagined a marquis of sade writing about different ways of give fire to things... and i imagined that he wouldn't be famous with that subjetct... as it is not known an author who wrote a lot of ways of comitting suicide, his secret obssesion.

(by the way, sorry about my english, i do my best, do i explain myself?)

I really like your work, brody & paetau, specially the works not related to sex. ( one of your works is with fire... )

is it because i have good sex? it could be, i don't know... in fact, i have several works related to sex... and i recognize that there are only few sex art work that i think that go to the point... (or touch my g point...)

sex can be a subversive, a way to express irreverency, and i truly love being subversive in some of my work... but i don't use sex to break perception because in front of the concept of state or nation, for example, you need to be more subversive and irreverent than developing sex art works. your have to go to the point of an endless freedom. (godard's last films)

the only author that made a point with it was suberb george bataille, i adore him, i adore his "history of the eye" and his writings about a sort of anarchy. and i find that he combines, in a superb way, his obsession with sex and his obsession to be more than a free citizen, a free individual, a free human being... in ways of thinking near to deleuze and blanchot.

please, brody & paetau, i would like to know what you think about it.

i would like to know thoughts about it of netB people.

another example: i love jelinek, i loved what she did in the nobel thing, i had so good time with that new, and i love "the pianist" within the developed civilization, within austrian state... but it is not enought irreverency for me... and i prefer to read irreverency in amos tutuola among others. why?, i wouldn't like to write a long speech in a mail... we can go on if you find it interesting...

i would like to know more about how do you feel "sex" in art... (i don't even know if i believe in pornography)

is anyone else obsessed by bataille, deleuze, godard and blanchot?

thanks for reading...
