We are part of the narrative of international contemporary life, comprehensible because the crude and universal institutional paradigm is applied to harsh and contradictory realities: the young pitted against the old, the people against the power brokers, dissidents against ideologues, free spirits against an ossified status quo. The outline of the story is so familiar as to be tedious, only the names have been changed to confuse the guileless.
