I am interested in collaborating with others. I am currently working on two projects that I could use help with.. With both projects, the problem I need help with is the development of the promotional materials to get people interested. The reference site for the Pythagorean Metronome projects currently in development is here: http://sites.google.com/site/pythagoreanmetronome/
Spectral Line CesiumThis is a flash mob event scheduled for November 6th, 2009. On that day, through the participation of as many people as possible, we will make the phrase "Spektrallinien Caesium" the most searched terms on Google and Yahoo. To participate in the event search the term "Spektrallinien Caesium" on November 6th, 2009 using Google, Yahoo, or both. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 32768We are working on an art project that involves simultaneity and photography. The project is currently developing along three lines. First, using computers with clocks synchronized across a network to drive the cameras. Second, simply use a digital video recorder that will take 24 frames per second, for example, and then calculate, in the sequence of frames, which particular still image is closest to the time we were intending to hit. Third, simultaneous photographs based on the Google phone, i.e. to develop a simple app based on, for example, e-ventr that will cause all the phones onto which it is installed to take a photograph at a predetermined time. The title of the project, viz. '32768', derives from the fact that there are 32768 vibrations of the quartz crystal in a second as measured by a Casio W-71 <http://www.casio.com/products/Timepiece/Classic/W71-1V/>. The bitmap image below, which comes from the bitmap generator at random.org, is an example of the sort of graphic that will be the focal point of the simultaneous photographs. In each city, at each location where a simultaneous photography event is being held, there will be a blue flyer (a blue 8.5" x 11" sheet of copy paper) with a unique random bitmap printed on it. This unique random bitmap will serve to identify the location where the photograph was taken. At the predetermined time, the participants in the event aim their cameras at the blue flyer and then at precisely the same time, everyone's camera takes a picture.
