4 XXXXX MICRO-RESIDENCIES IN BERLIN Within the framework of xxxxx_micro_research Berlin, four micro-residencies are offered in April, May, July and November for artists, theorists and researchers to work on common projects, and participate in a public salon event. Residencies will last four to five days. Applications are invited (conventional postal systems or W.A.S.T.E as preferred channels) from European-based interested individuals and groups. All travel costs, and accommodation will be covered by xxxxx_micro_research Berlin.
xxxxx_micro_research [Berlin]; an independent research centre focusing on the expanded construction and experience of free software and open hardware within a markedly interdisciplinary context. The field of research can be described as the active examination and questioning of technology, and the investigation of the novel means of description put forward by both software and hardware. These concerns expand to cover science and art domains with an emphasis very much on investigating a radical, new discipline which both fields elaborate.
