Sort of.. But instead of passing everything through the lense of
linguistics I find more exciting to give the possible bags full
reality, full virtuality if you want, and take them as parallel
entities haunting the present. Rather than working with symbols I like
working with bodies, haunted by other bodies. Perhaps the relation of
signifier and signified is more rigid and hierarchical. One points to
the other, one [signifier] is meant to 'represent' the other
[signified], which is considered the real one. Maybe thinking of
hybrid objects as part actual part virtual, giving the virtual objects
the same reality, opens up this structure to something more inspiring.

Anyway, just sketching some ideas here... all very raw... (raw in my
brain, I know many people have written on this ;))

In Berlin now, preparing the Breakthrough, I'll see if we can work out
something with hybrid objects...
