Perhaps your flintstone-style rolodex could be modified to have a
different function to the flintstone-style 'scrolling machine'...

I'm wondering how... If it would be possible to modify it to achieve a
flip-book animation type effect??

Take frames from a .mov, a digital animation or a movie just as good
(anything so long as signs of a more advanced technology are there), and
print (onto card - if large) each frame.
