Double Life March 6, GARAGE: Center of Contemporary Culture, Moscow http://www.garageccc.com/eng/events/lectures/4866.phtml
"Double Life", the new project by Olga Kisseleva, created in collaboration with the Sorbonne‘s Laboratory of sociology and social sciences, defines the role and place of intellectuals in today's and tomorrow's society. Where is any relationship between the competence of an individual, and his place in the social hierarchy? Does our society really need artists and intellectuals? In the frame of the “Futurologia” project at the Center for Contemporary Culture Garage, Olga Kisseleva is up front in demonstrating how difficult it is to be in such a position, yet also reveals an indomitable creative force. Everybody feeling concerned by the reality of the ultra-liberal society trying to reduce people to their utilitarian function, is invited to take part in the discussion.
