I've posted before about the net art of David Jhave Johnston. I think he's
doing some of the most notable, significant net art right now. I originally
posted about his piece Sound Seeker at http://vispo.com/jhave . Here is some
related work.

Each of these series is composed of streaming videos Jhave has created. The
videos are often literary in that there's writing in them. The writing tends
to be very good, actually; it's Jhave's writing. They're often typographic
manipulations. Though he also combines them with more typical video content.
He creates the audio, also.

Jhave is a poet-programmer. He did a degree in Computer Science in Montréal,
a Masters in Vancouver on digital art, and is doing his doctorate in
Montréal.

Jhave doesn't publicize his work much. He doesn't post notices of it to
lists and so on. But it's an amazing body of net art.

There's much more at his site http://glia.ca
