Hi Ruth Hope you're well.
Glad you like them - and you've got it exactly - I didn't spot that really - these drawings are about a sense of bewilderment. I dont know how to respond to what's going on. I find family gatherings really difficult nowadays. Many of my family work in morally dodgy careers. So at family gatherings, I often imagine myself standing up and speaking out, shocking everyone into rejecting their terrible ways - but in truth I end up sitting in a corner looking fed up and saying nothing, and everyone just assumes I'm in a bad mood. Thanks again Ruth - encouragement is everything! cheers, dave On 23 March 2010 17:48, Ruth Catlow <[email protected]> wrote: > Thanks Dave for these great images that certainly resonate with my own > sense of bewilderment. > > I especially like "family arguments". > > It's in the same vein as the hairdresser series - people expressing their > anger in "the wrong place". > I have a family wedding coming up- perhaps I can try out some of the > arguments that you are rehearsing here; ) > > *Subject*: [NetBehaviour] family arguments! > *Date*: Tue, 23 Mar 2010 15:24:33 +0000 > > http://davemiller.org/drawings/people/fa_23_feb.png > *Subject: * > [NetBehaviour] Still no inquiry.
