My Dads Strip Club Presents........ in Dundee. with Ange Taggart 7.30 Thursday 15 April 2010
My Dads Strip Club celebrates dissent through video and performance. It makes unauthorised interventions in public and commercial spaces and brings people together for creative self-organising. Putting embarrassment aside, Taggart will address her love of 'the art of reclaiming space' and the delicate subject of carnal knowledge of Coke machines. The comedy in her work is very close to anger, and excites all kinds of responses in the on-looker. Preferring to operate in the public realm, with a critical focus on consumerism, Taggart has frequently collaborated with others to carry out unauthorised, issue-based interventions. Join her for an evening mixing art with activism and entertainment. This event is FREE (but bring some ID to get into the venue) WHERE: Hannah Maclure Centre, Abertay University, Top floor, Student Centre, 1 – 3 Bell Street, Dundee. Brought to you by D-AiR (Dundee Artists in Residence) – opening up spaces for community and collaboration. http://www.d-air.org/content/15th-april-my-dads-strip-club _______________________________________________ NetBehaviour mailing list [email protected] http://www.netbehaviour.org/mailman/listinfo/netbehaviour
