PhD2Published - new resource needs your help...

Via Charlotte Frost,

Hello,

This is just a quick note to rally support before the big launch of the new
web resource I've set up: http://www.phd2published.com/ (academic book
publishing advice for first timers...)

The aims behind PhD2Published are to provide a wealth of hints and tips for
newbie academics on how they might get their all important first book in
print in today's market, as well providing discussion on the future of
academic writing and publishing in the e-age.

The site will feature:

* Articles offering publishing, self-promotion and writing advice etc
(e.g. how to pitch to a publisher, start your own website, or get a writing
schedule nailed).
* Top tips from established academics and other writers on how to get
your book published.
* Discussion on developments in publishing and broadcasting
technologies and the rise of the ebook through the annals of academia.
* Video blog entries by me on my own efforts to get my first book
published
* Guest posts from other writing/publishing/self-promotional experts.

Please get the link circulated around everyone you can think of who might
like to contribute or indeed who might benefit from the site's content (as
it grows). And of course, if you have a book or two under your belt, I'd
love you to send me your top five tips for getting published (along with a
link to any book you'd currently like to promote). And, finally, any advice
on ideas for content and on how to publicise the site (through university
networks and beyond) would be gratefully received!!!

Thanks!!!

Dr Charlotte Frost
