Marixsm 2010.

Call for submissions
Following the success of previous years' art Left in Vision 4 is being
organised for Marxism 2010 (1 - 5 July). As before, all artists who
identify with the left are invited to submit work, and all forms of
visual art - figurative, abstract, conceptual, sculpture, film,
relational etc - are welcome. The work does not have to be overtly
political. International contributions will be especially encouraged.

Anyone wishing to submit work should email John Molyneux at
[email protected] or if necessary phone 07801 290411.

All work should be submitted by Friday 5 June 2010, when curatorial
decisions about what is to be shown will be made.

Marxism 2010
The global economic crisis has highlighted the bankruptcy of a system
that puts profits before the needs of ordinary people. Billions across
the planet face hunger, war, poverty, catastrophic climate change and
unemployment.

But billions are also asking whether a different world is possible,
talking about alternatives and fighting back. Marxism 2010 will bring
thousands of these people together from across the world to discuss,
debate and organise the fightback. This year’s speakers include, among
others: Tony Benn, Haifa Zangana and Slavoj Žižek.
