JOB: artistic director / transmediale. Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH is looking for an Artistic Director for the "transmediale - festival for art and digital culture".
We are looking for a person for the conceptual direction and future management of the transmediale festival. This task requires a comprehensive knowledge of international media art and contemporary art. The Artistic Director is responsible both for artistic conception and the organisation of the festival. Essential requirements, in addition to the professional credentials already mentioned, are curatorial skills, several years experience in the direction and organisation of large cultural organisations and proficient German and English language skills. Relocation to Berlin is essential. The conditions of employment will initially be a fixed-term contract for the transmediale 2012. An extension is desired but conditional on funding from the Kulturstiftung des Bundes.
