Building community through food.

I think this is a nice gesture, although it is far from revolutionary. It's a
good thing to have happen, although anarchism/collectivism is a meme du annee
(one I'm involved in). However, we can look at Tiavanija's stone soup
gatherings, and more importantly, Bread and Puppet's communal feat &
performances.

I guess my point is that while this sort of action is very much in fashion, as
such we need to keep in mind our overall intent. Is this part of the overall
movement which is seeking to reenergize the grass rtoots community and build
the counterculture, or is it something that is being pulled along by the wave
of this memetic flow?

Personally, I am for the creation of communities, social actions and the like,
but I am also far more into those who are sincere about creating meaningful
human interactions and sharing knowledge and experience through the same.

I make no judgments about this action, I merely encourage, action and
earnestness.
