The Iraq War Media Archive was funded by the United Kingdom (UK)
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), and constructed and
collated by the University of Birmingham, UK. It provides free access to
a searchable database of over 6,000 newspaper articles, opinion pieces,
editorials and papers covering the Gulf War, Iraq and Saddam Hussein in
the period March-June 2003. They are taken from leading national
newspapers, news services and provide insight into media coverage of
issues relating to the legality of the war, the decision to go to war,
its coverage and the controversy concerning weapons of mass destruction.
All materials are supplied in the original language. They include some
Arabic and independent and alternative media resources.
