I understand completely what you mean and believe the project is
sympathetic to just those sentiments. I think it's actually about
questioning the kind of data we submit to facebook. Through the game,
what we render unto Caesar (facebook) is made visible. It's about
exposing those hidden data trails which are commodified.
I also agree that we need alternatives as well :-) Btw: while it's
not exactly a facebook equivalent, have you seen this: http://www.thimbl.net/

The other contexts that compare directly to Facebook aren't quite
ready
for prime time yet, and they don't contain the audience that need to
be
made aware of the issues the game raises.
