I'm on Virgin, with is cable based and has zero contention. I use the 20mb option, which averages around 16mb download. However, upload is much slower. Cost is around £25/month. You can have 50mb for a bit more, but upload is still slower. Sounds like you will want something more dedicated - which could be expensive.
