Hi Ana I didnt know about Kiva - it's a really good idea.
I see there is only one Arts project listed: http://www.kiva.org/lend#/?&pageID=1&perPage=20&status=fundRaising®ions%5B%5D=All§ors%5B%5D=9&gender=All&sortBy=popularity&queryString=&countries%5B%5D=All&partner_id=&borrower_type=All But the potential is definitely there to fund artists. What happens if the loans dont get paid back? Does this happen? The benefit of a loan over donations/ funding for artists/ arts organisations must be that this way they can stay true to themselves/ what they're doing, and not have to be answerable to someone.
