Manik - that's very kind of you.
I made the drawings as part of a weekly drawing session led by one of the
students Ruth and I teach. I sweated and at the end I'd been sitting so
awkwardly I had a thumping headache all day.
Despite their extreme awkwardness and lack of formal facility (and
the misrememberings:- the elephant with no ears; the crab with six legs) I like
them - because I think they come from very far inside my unconscious (and from
my distant childhood) they seem axiomatic to me - I can't "see inside" them.
That's why your generous comments are particularly illuminating, to me above
all...
