Hi, also want to point out (apologies for going on like this, clears my mind) that nn was far more than just vituperation; her NATO55 was amazing (saw it in action, know people who used it), and she did interesting music much like Kenji Siratori, sent me a cd at one point. None of this was one- sided.
Maybe it's stupid of me, yes, it is, but I resist the idea of progress here; to me her active presencing was furious and intimately related to other hactivism work, 10100110, Yes Men, etc. today. I don't know why or what stopped, maybe Beatrice Beaubien would. My own dealings w/ nn were always edgy and fair and interesting; like mez, she worked thru her own language-mod, and stylistically raked the coals discourse, still hard to do online.
