Forget dancing figures, forget portraits of Lenin in the style of. Go
and dust off your Foucault: Pollock's paintings are actually calligrams:

Look at the top of the painting and you'll see "No Symbol", look at the
bottom and you'll see "Piss Artist". Or you may see something else
entirely. That's the problem with human visual perception, it's
inherently apophenic.

I'm looking at this Kandinsky now and it totally says "Bosom" at the
top, but I can't quite out make the bottom yet -
