Rain always falls in the same direction. This is a given fact of our corporeal
existence. The most trivial experiment leads to the conclusion that it always
falls in the same direction. It begins above and ends below, splashing at our
feet and forming a mass. All those individual, unique (I like to think of them
as unique, despite evidence of homogeneity) pear-shaped missiles falling around
