For its 7th edition, Mal au Pixel festival, devoted to open source
cultures, will set up an exhibition, a series of workshops and several
public meetings at la Gaité Lyrique, in Paris. Artists, hackers,
researchers and activists are invited to present their works and
prototypes, aiming at subverting surveillance techniques and control
societies. The exhibiton will be accompanied with a series of workshops
and debates.

new twists at the crossroad of arts and hacking, through the works of:
!Mediengruppe Bitnik, Julian Oliver & Danja Vasiliev, Telekommunisten,
Timo Toots et Benjamin Gaulon.

SCREENINGS : Several experimental movies dealing with the current
festival topic are scheduled, films by Manu Luksch, Dominic Gagnon et
Gwenola Wagon.

CONFERENCES : On Oct. 27-28th and Dec. 8-9th, two seminars are proposed,
gathering the aforementioned artists, activists and theoreticians as
well as other invitees, in order to discuss the issues of surveillance
technologies.

WEEKLY WORKSHOPS : On the fringe of the exhibition, and in cooperation
