change in our contemporary society from a critical perspective. The films
explore visions of the future from the optimistic world of the
hyper-connected, design-driven, socially networked Tech City, to the
emerging nightmares of a world where users/customers/citizens are at the
hands of government and corporate surveillance.

TECHNOFUTURES seeks to explore topics: of privacy, data mining,
surveillance, ubiquity, public/private, hacking, open source,
crowd-sourcing, user-generated content, viral media, mimetics, social
media, analytics, collaboration, precarious labour, digital economy,
innovation, and more.

All films are sourced online and are freely available to view online.
Screenings and discussions will be hosted with selected films and speakers
on a periodic basis. We welcome contributions to the film list.
