The tweet explaining how to fetch and build it was deleted, and Google
are concentrating on the proprietary Play platform that is built atop
it. Not to mention the several binary blobs required to use the average
phone.

Firefox OS's app store fetishism isn't much better though. Mozilla is
also based in Mountain View...

And "Open" is a meaningless corporate buzzword. The problem is user
freedom, not the availability of cheaply exploitable "open source" code
to corporations acting as a cartel.
