Hi everyone,
Just thought I should share a couple of links from an event last night
organised by Evelyn Wilson and Irini Papadimitriou for 'Internet Week'
(who knew?!) at the V & A in London. It's part of an ongoing series of
network events for those interested in women's work with digital cultures.
Oooh! it was fun.
Really good presentations from Paula Graham on diversity and equality
in tech culture ("just because she's had a baby, doesn't mean she's had
a lobotomy"- hee!) and about FLOSSIE http://www.flossie.org/, and her
work at QMUL.
Then Victoria Mapplebeck about more disturbing work at the borders of
public and private with Text Me https://vimeo.com/61346389.
Then Nadia talking about http://www.beatwoven.co.uk/ - generating
textiles from music.
Warm atmosphere, optimistic, constructive etc etc. Thanks Evelyn and
Irini : )
