hiyas,

hope this finds you all well!

here are a few more updates:

http://bipbeep.tv/?x=entry:entry140408-032639 - videos from a salt depot
and a question of remote aesthetic in mind..

More re mote aesthetics bits.. This time in still images:
http://bipbeep.tv/?entry=entry140408-023129

----------------

There is a fairly - or probably - graspable way to link remote aesthetics
to the palestinian experience, in myu mind anyway.. It probably doesn't
come out very clearly from the images but is in some of the terms used for
them.. ie the moon in Palestine..
The moon is not just rmote, but also is a very personal and somehow
arbitrary metaphore here.. My guess is that this might be linked to
various remote making aesthetics used when, for example, a power like the
zionist entity decides to call a place by its own name, and use the
Palestinian arabic with the zionist name.. eg Jerusalem signs are in
egnlish, in hebrew the name is Yerushalayim, and in arabic, i was told, it
says Yerushalayim as well.. (rather than the common arabic name -
al-quds..)

Imagine someone decided to call London some other name in their language..
Perhaps some people might sense that the power that changed the name is
indeed attempting to make london feel remote..?

Cheers and all the bests!

aharon
xx
