Hiyas!

A very interesting article - thanks for the link, Marc!

yes.. art and shadows, art and dark, deprived, lesser seen, some unseen,
sequences, frequencies and rhythms.. (some spaces, even.. ;) )

Perhaps there should be a wider dialogue/discussion that comes from an
opening up trajectory rather than a rush to express/implement this
ideology, another or various other such goals?

eg the latest manifesta and the boycott or not kind of dialogue aping
process? Perhaps am a bit mistaken here, and raise the volume of some NB
emailers.. However, perhaps the question is relevant because so far, there
seem to be 2 sides, in almost binary opposites talking at - not with - one
another.. Which rarely reflects the coloured shades of living and
breathing rhythmic realities.. (well, in a rather generalised moment of a
slightly twisted mind anyway...)

On a more personal note, such a discussion might be useful following:
* the recent practices and projects in palestine:
One of the UNITING elements from both sides of the conflict's divide was
the attitude towards certain kind of art projects.
A common 1st suspicions to be thrown at me was:
Are you doing a Banksy????!!!!
An unwelcome and brute interference perceived by all sides from different
questions and trajectories..
(kind of helped in the process of getting-to-know sequence, when it was
clear Banksy it ain't..)

* 2014 http://radical-openness.org/ edition autonomy (im)possible queried
me regarding the intent for using the narcissus search algorithm to
question shades of urban invisibilities in the following way: why try to
make something visible if the very visibility might destroy what it is.. I
think they might have referred to gentrification processes..
(the precise kind of sequences that the narcissus search algorithm
attempts to question and perhaps critique..)

These seem to be genuine and very aptly interesting questions.. Perhaps am
missing the contexts where and when these are being elaborated in
parrhesia.. Perhaps these contexts should remain the odd email here and
there.. ;)

Hope this finds you all well and with far more time than me to go out and
enjoy the spring's early attempts to Be in 2014..

Cheers, ciao and all the bests!

aharon
xx

Pyramid Dead - The Artangel of History

By Christopher Jones, 17 April 2014

The Heygate Estate has stood partially empty for several years, a living
monument to the expulsion, AKA ‘regeneration’, of working class
populations from the centre of London. Chris Jones reports on the
entrance onto this sorry scene of public art commissioning agency
Artangel, and the class, art and housing politics which surround their
hasty exit.
