Hi Alan,

Thanks for taking the time to watch/listen.  I'm afraid you're crediting me
with more ability than I have.

I didn't really have any deep significance with choosing the element, except I
liked that tellurium is related to sulphur and was found in Transylvania, so
there's some hackneyed, Hollywood associations with evil and devils, which
partly relates back to a previous piece of mine.

The pattern is from the soundtrack put through a Processing program I wrote.
then I took a screengrab and Photoshopped it. Looking at it again it's
interesting to see that it looks like a long exposure shot of stars, possibly?
which is funny because actually the 'music' is all created in computer and one
of the elements is of Neil Armstrong stepping on to the moon. I've stretched
and processed it beyond recognition. I'm really un - musical but I do like
noises! I'm interested in incorporating radio messages (police calls etc) at
the moment.

also I like that tellurium is more common in space than Earth.

cheers

m

Hi Mark,

Can you explain how tellurium figures into this? And are the patterns
related to Chladni's? Are they interference patterns? The music is
beautiful, bowed?

Thanks, Alan
