please send this to interested poets and academics who work and research
visual poetry and experimental poetry.

Deadline call for papers on the topics, listed below, in the academic
seminar is August 15th.

The Underground Poetry Fest is an experimental poetry festival which
celebrates different experimental forms of poetry like visual poetry, sound
poetry and performance poetry. It will highlight the international exchanges
between (experimental) poets and will present the following publications by

Key note speaker morning: Laura Lopez-Fernandez (New Zeeland) (via Skype)
and Kila Van der Starre

a) the morning session will be dedicated to defining visual poetry and the
existing definitions on visual poetry and the relations between visual
poetry, literature, art and music (noise, sound,...) and ways how to analyse
and appreciate visual poetry. Keynote speaker will be Laura Lopez-Fernandez
(New Zeeland) (via Skype) and Kila Van der Starre

Round table discussion: Luc Fierens, Renaat Ramon, Helen White

b) the afternoon session will be dedicated to Belgian Experimental Poetry
and its place in the international scene. Topics here could be the belgian
(neo-) avant-garde poets, Paul Van Ostayen, De Tafelronde, poesia visiva,
Paul De Vree, Collage as visual poetry, the postfluxus series and other work
by Luc Fierens, KriKri-festival and -organizers (Helen White, Maja Jantar
and Jelle Meander), ...
