I guess it's one of those inevitable things; wanting to hold onto a pleasant moment in time. Before the artworld and academe grabbed "New Media" (sic) my experience with Rhizome was a good, generous grass-roots community. We know what things have become - multivariant, but much less lensed. I think that here and maybe the Chicago Glitch scene are closest to the open, generous sort of community. I'm glad for what exists.
