The National Theatre is one of the world’s most successful performing
arts organisations situated on the South Bank in London. The Theatre is
central to the creative life of the country and is unparalleled in
theatrical repertoire and audience reach. As well as our 4 stages
in-house we also have a thriving programme of live cinema broadcasts,
productions in the West End, touring in the UK and abroad and a vigorous
education programme.
The National Theatre is looking for a Digital Artist to be responsible
for the management and creation of agreed digital art for allocated
projects during the budgeting, drafting, construction and installation
phases.
The role will involve creating digital artwork, vector patterns and 3D
models from design information, technical drawings and reference
imagery, managing the provision of digital art services and supporting
the digital art needs of the building including the creation of
photographic storyboards & artwork layouts.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in Adobe
Photoshop, Illustrator & AutoCAD software, a comprehensive knowledge of
digital design techniques and their applications to theatre design, and
knowledge and experience of theatre design or a similar
three-dimensional design discipline.
They will also have the ability to lead, supervise and instruct others
and excellent organisational and time management skills.
