hi everyone!
hope things are good - holidays and all that!

over the last several months I've started to work a little with a
markerless motion capture system. we aren't able to get the most precise
data but definitely have some good things happening. for students, we are
working mostly towards mocap for character animation... in a fairly
traditional direction. i, on the other hand, have been taking the same data
to use for animating other things (you guessed it, text/typography). so far
the results look a little like letters on a string... but the interesting
thing to me is that they start to move in pseudo natural ways... its just a
start and eventually i'll have some videos to share.

in the meantime, i'm curious, is anyone aware of and/or could share some
references with me RE: people using mocap for experimental/non-traditional
animation etc etc??!?!?!?!?!

high five,
bill
