http://aferro.org/opportunities/open-calls/ ILLUMINATED, INTERACTIVE, KINETIC, INSTALLATION, PERFORMANCE, FILM ART AND ANIMATION For Exciting Public Art Initiative, Newark, NJ Artists working in new media, film, neon, installation, performance, animation, interactive and kinetic art are invited to submit proposals for consideration to Activate: Market Street. Gallery Aferro will occupy the storefront windows of 75 Market St., 77 Market St., 85 Market St., and 93 Market St. with art works that can be viewed 24/7 by pedestrian audiences. Each space will be prepared and presented as a professional exhibiting space and openings will coincide with major events at our main gallery space at 73 Market Street. Each event will be promoted in print and online. How To Submit Submit via email to: [email protected] Subject line: “Last Name, First Name – Activate” (Example: Smith, Jane – Activate) * Please send submissions as attachments (i.e. .doc, .pdf, etc) Every submission\proposal must include: 1) CV\resume 2) Artist Statement 3) Brief statement about the specific work you propose to show with us. 4) Work Samples: up to10 – 1 MB jpegs or mpegs or clearly labeled youtube or vimeo links 5) $10 USD fee per submission, via paypal here. We do not believe in artist gouging and ask for this small donation only as part of our overall, diversified activities to support our nonprofit programs. We offer a discount of $5 to members of the Visual Arts Center of NJ, Center For Contemporary Art, Bedminster, and Arts Guild of NJ.
