technologists, and creative tech start-ups to join the inaugural group
of *Associates *at*CoLAB *– *SPACE*’s a new co-working prototyping
initiative.
*_Conceived _*in collaboration with open hardware pioneers, Open Desk*_,
CoLAB_ is a *unique co-working environment which positions prototyping
at the heart of creative practice and celebrates process over product.
*_Associates_* benefit from an affordable, flexible workstation, a
network of curated mentors and peers, and regular involvement in *_Open
SPACE_ – *a new public testbed and exhibition space.
*_Positioned_* in the heart of Hackney’s emergent maker district*, CoLAB
*is a central node in the burgeoning phenomenon of the * “Maker Mile” –
*a local network of artists, designers, open-hardware start-ups and art
& tech enterprises*. *

- /a trans-disciplinary prototyping studio/
* Affordable 8sq metre co-working space in the heart of Hackney’s
maker district.
* Open Desk flexible workstations & storage lockers.
* Desks *@ £150 per month *+ limited number of *fully sponsored places*.

* Prototyping studio with dedicated rapid prototyping zone and tools.
* Highly subsidized access to industrial prototyping resources (CNC,
laser cutting 3D Printing etc.).
* Responsive programme of critically aligned talks and workshops with
experts in art, design, science, enterprise, and technology.

* A trans-disciplinary community of Associates - selected to spark
cross-pollination of ideas and creative provocation.
