It is a great article.

Bitcoin has been a TAZ, as the net was, and it's being recuperated now.

I think that both proponents and critics of Bitcoin would do well to
remember this paragraph:

"You do not have to be a conspiracy theorist to realise that the people
with the most ability to exploit Bitcoin (to start new companies, to get
access to investment capital to develop the technology) also happen to
be the same people who already are doing pretty well in society. Thus,
even if the technology itself might have positive principles, access to
it—whether that is explicit or implicit—is  unequal."

The technology Bitcoin is not a sufficient focus for our hopes *or* our
ire. Although Bitcoin has been something of a lottery within the bounds
of the existing distribution of wealth...

As Brett later argues, even a modest place for Bitcoin in the world can
still mean that Bitcoin is a very useful technology.
