   Description

D-Lab is an exciting new project, supported by Arts Council England through the National Lottery, Derbyshire County Council and Arts Derbyshire, launching to the public in June 2015. It aims to bring the best and most exciting new media artists and artworks to an online audience, focussing especially on artists and organisations in Derbyshire and the East Midlands.

We want to encourage artists to make more and better use of digital media in their creative practice, to take risks and experiment, and to showcase their work to an online audience.

We are now offering five artist’s commissions to artists based in Derbyshire, or with a close connection to it. The selected artists will receive:

 * An inclusive fee of up to £1000 to cover artists fees, production
   costs and expenses
 * Mentoring and critical support from David Gilbert, Curator of D-Lab
 * A possible exhibition or showcase in the county as well as online
 * If appropriate a link to a Derbyshire arts festival to show the work
as part of their programme (Festivals in Derbyshire
   <http://www.artsderbyshire.org.uk/whats_on/festivals_2014/default.asp>)
 * The opportunity to deliver talks and/or workshops during the
   commission period.

*How to Apply: *

Please provide the following:
