Hiyas! Just noticed an un solicited email from the railway people of Thameslink - now with added great northern.
The great northern railway, as far as I think I know, used to be, until uber recently, the last of publicly owned railway in england (perhaps britain). As such, it used to be the best rail operation around. eg, I recently bumped into people based in the north east, and without any prompting, they were amazed at the low level of punctuality of rail down south.. now I see the great northern was gobbled by a private racket, thameslink. If they improve the great northern the way they did their own operations down south, then it should be very profitable for their share holders. I wonder whether such share holders are going to rub their hands full of NHS glee following the voting processes next thursday.
