I am thinking of building mpiBlast: http://www.mpiblast.org/About/Overview on NetBSD i386.
Of the two prerequisites mentioned opemMPI is available in pkgsrc. One more prerequisites is NCBI toolkit : ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/toolbox/ If anyone tried porting any of these tools on NetBSD i386, request to share any information that may be useful. Mayuresh
