I had this problem as well on an IBM Thinkcentre A51 with same on-board graphics as OP. It's only certain systems that are affected; I have a small VIA-based microATX box that works fine with a PS/2 keyboard hooked up. Often just using a USB-to-PS/2 adapter fixes the issue but of course a real kernel fix would be best. --J
