My understanding of the wheel group is that only its members
can su to root user, but they need to supply root's password
to do so.
7.0-RC3 is on a VM here (more questions later about that!),
and it runs quite well. It was nice during the install to be
asked not only if I wanted to add a user but also if I
wanted that user to be put into the wheel group.
So I am surprised to see that when, as that user, I type
'su', I am propelled into root user status without needing
to enter a password.
Thoughts, anyone?
