Hi,
Is it possible to completely disable kernel messages on the console
(they are green by default)? "boot -q" reduces verbosity, but "boot -z"
doesn't disable them, instead reducing verbosity of init (white on

by default). Setting kern.messages to 0 with sysctl doesn't seem to
help
either.
Thanks!
Edit /etc/syslog.conf and change the destination for anything writing to
/dev/console to write to a file, like maybe /var/log/console.
Then kill -HUP `head 1 /var/run/syslog.pid`
You will probably also want to add that file to your newsyslog.conf to
have it rotated periodically.
