Yep, you did. A typical NFS setup maps all filesystem accesses by
"root" to "nobody", for security reasons.
I'd expect that the access is granted if you change the ownership of
/usr/pkgsrc/distfiles:
chown nobody /usr/pkgsrc/distfiles
chown 65534 /usr/pkgsrc/distfiles # if the above doesn't work
chown root /usr/pkgsrc/distfiles # restore it
