Looks like NetBSD does exactly what the router is telling it. Other systems will do the same. You could, e.g.: - renew your DHCP lease to update the configuration after switching on the modem. Happens automatically when the lease expires (usually after some hours). - run a local caching DNS server somewhere and tell your router to advertise this one. - configure a public DNS resolver (like 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare), 8.8.8.8 (Google), 9.9.9.9 (Quad9)) as a fallback. your choice.. -- Michael van Elst Internet: mlel...@serpens.de "A potential Snark may lurk in every tree."
