As stated already, the branch which will eventually lead to the full release of 10.0 has been cut. That means that any changes done to this branch between now and the final release will need to pass through our "release engineering" process, i.e. an extra review and documentation step. Martin has coordinated that there are perhaps no known "major" changes which needs to be included between now and the final release (to minimize the amount of legwork needed to be done between now and final release), but we collectively use the 10.0_BETA period to smooth out (hopefully) smaller issues and get fixes for those developed, tested, and applied to the branch. That testing and fixing period will take a while, and will be finished when we collectively agree "this is good enough", but as stated above, it's probably a little optimistic that it will happen as early as in January 2023. We resist putting an estimated time on the final release date, especially so early in the release cycle -- the criterium is instead "is this good enough?" Meanwhile you can on your side assist by testing the 10.0_BETA release, and report any issues you find, particularly if those are closer to being a "show-stopper" as seen from your side. Binaries of 10.0_BETA will be available shortly; the source tree already has the netbsd-10 branch, so can be used to build the 10.0_BETA code. Best regards, - HÃ¥vard
