Yeah! That works. My serial port test program now completes without error and the test sending characters to “cu -l /dev/{dt}ty01” also works. Of course, the serial console continues to work, so I am not (yet?) seeing any downsides. Is there a reason not to commit this? Thank you so much for your help! Especially for the quick fix.
