Thanks. Then it must be a problem specific to my computer but I don't know what could be the cause of this. As it's my main system, I'm reluctant to reinstall NetBSD from scratch (I've been upgrading it since it was originally installed with version 7) in order to have the least amount of downtime possible but that's the only solution I see now...
