So to be clear, this is vintage hardware, SCSI, and spinning rust. I suppose I could dd random write the entire rdev, reboot, and dd read the entire rdev into /dev/null and watch for device errors ?
Is there anything more succinct ? Something in pkgsrc that would be fairly agnostic ? Thanks.
