sorry for the late reply ... I'm really just to busy, eg. with release preparations for XLibre (scheduled for summer solstice). Just to be clear: I'm not going to nuke anything that's still practically used out there, just trying to clean up things that really aren't needed anymore. And of course I'm intersted in upstreaming as much as possible :) Since there's much more use of sbus than I've anticipated, there're probably a bunch of commits landed in master that might break things. Really don't like the idea of rebasing master, but reverting is easy. So please have a look at the look at the xlibre/master branch and send me pull requests if you need some changes. Since I'm not NetBSD user myself, it would be really great to have some co-maintainer for NetbBSD platform support.
